SUSTAINABILITY CLUB AND CLASS 7F FIELD TRIP TO SUNNY FARM

The Sustainability Club and 7F advisory class went on a field trip to Sunny Farm on Monday, May 20, to learn about sustainable farming. On this eye-opening and educational trip, they visited the fruit trees, vegetable and herb gardens, bird aviary and rabbit enclosure. This trip also let them experience something they had never done before: building a fire on the clay pizza oven and cooking their own pizzas. The students made the pizza dough, vegan cheese and tomato sauce from scratch. Students and teachers also had time to add to a wall that was being built at the farm using the eco bricks they had created from sand, clay and straw. Overall, it was a wonderful and unforgettable experience.
