While our students are having a day off today, our teachers are still working hard with teacher training workshops from early this morning, March 22, 2019. This is Professional Development Day, and TAS faculty are taking it very seriously. The workshops are the opportunities for our teachers and Academic Administrators to understand some key definitions in student assessment in order to improve our teaching and grading quality. Coffee and bagels are served as breakfast for the workshops.

Just like when they lead students to do group discussion in class, TAS teachers also have to do group discussion themselves during the training time to figure out what descriptions are used to describe Agency, Feedback, Formative Assessment and Summative Assessment. What TAS teachers learn today will definitely be of great use to further enhance the assessment of students’ work and meet parents’ expectation of clearer students’ learning results.
